What is the Aiden's Angel Network

Before answering that question, we first have to effectively define the word "angel."

Webster's dictionary defines "angel" in the following way:

Angel: a spiritual being superior to humans in power and intelligence; one believed to have special care of a particular individual; an inspiration from God; a heavenly being. Over the past several weeks and months, however, the Nichols family has found this definition to be somewhat incomplete. For this reason, the family has developed a modified definition of "angel".

Aiden's Angels:s any person who says a pray for Aiden's recovery; any person who donates their time or their resources to help with Aiden's fundraisers; any person whose kindness, generosity, and love will help Aiden face challenges today and tomorrow.

It seems like everyday we come across more and more people who fit this modified definition.

Plain and simple, it is you.

About Aiden C. Nichols - "Our Little Hero"

Aiden C. Nichols, 4 years old, is the Son of Jason/Rhonda Nichols and Grandson of Chuck/Elaine Nichols, lifelong residents of West Chester. Aiden is the 5th generation of Nichols from West Chester, “walking the wall” of the West Chester Court House since he took his first step.

Aiden was diagnosed with MedullaBlastoma, a malignant childhood brain tumor on July 14, 2008. Aiden spent a week at A.I. DuPont Hospital in Wilmington, DE where he underwent surgery to remove the tumor. Aiden is now under the care of Oncologist, Dr. Beverly Lang, at the “Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia” where he is receiving Radiation Treatment for 5-6 week followed by Chemotherapy Treatment for the next several months to a year.

Aiden loves all his cars & trucks. Spending time playing video games and going to the Phillies games with his daddy are some of his favorite things to do. His favorite foods; macaroni & cheese, chicken nuggets, hot dogs, vanilla ice cream cake, yogurt and string cheese. Aiden has two dogs, Niko and Rocky. When he grows up, he will tell you he is going to be a Hess Truck driver, an Army man, a Monster Jam driver and a Race Car driver. Aiden’s Birthday is September 18th, and he is so excited to have his birthday party. Aiden can jump in mud puddles, catch a million fire flies, magically turn a stick into a sword and count to 20 all by himself. The one thing Aiden can't do is fight cancer alone…Thank you for your prayers.

Events and Efforts

Wachovia Bank Donation Fund - An account has been set up in Aiden's name - The Aiden Nichols Fund. It is important to Elaine & Chuck to know the name of the Angel that walked into Wachovia to help our family (nothing more, just the Angels name).

Bracelets - The Hess Truck as arrived!! Show your support for Aiden! We are selling Support Aiden rubber bracelets for $10. All proceeds go to the Aiden Nichols Assistance Fund. Please send checks (made payable to the Aiden Nichols Fund) or cash to Meghan Allen at 524 Bloomfield Street, Apt 1, Hoboken, NJ 07030. Bracelets can also be purchased at Blaze Salon in West Chester.  Please contact Meghan at Meghan72181@yahoo.com if you wish to have a bracelet sent to you or with any questions.

Jewelry- Please look through all of your old jewelry - find those earrings that no longer have their mate, or the watch you haven't worn in years, or the necklace that is broken and missing a stone. We are looking for precious metal donations (silver, gold, platinum, or sterling silver) to resell for a profit.  All proceeds will be donated to the Aiden Nichols Assistance Fund. Successful Fund Raiser- Aiden’s Angels held a benefit event to help the Nichols family during this time of need. The event took place Friday, October 17, 2008 at the Goshen Fire Company. Attendees enjoyed delicious food, drinks, live music by Shin Bone Alley band, silent & live auctions led by Bill Bunch auctioneer, raffles, and more! The overwhelming response from the community and the West Chester businesses, who donated, was nothing short of amazing. We will forever be grateful for all those whose generosity will make it possible for Aiden to get the special care and education he will need. All proceeds will go directly to the Aiden’s Angel Foundation for Aiden Nichols.
